Nicole Serres

Nicole Serres leaped into her career right out of high school working as a receptionist at a local staffing firm. While fate may have landed Nicole into the staffing industry, it was her determination, drive and strong work ethic that propelled her movement up the corporate ladder into a leader, business owner and author. Nicole joined Star Staffing in 2009 and quickly proved her skills and worth. In 2010, she became an owner of the firm. She envisioned her successes into reality each step of the way - including encouraging other young women to dream big and reach for their career goals. With Nicole’s leadership, her business has grown from three to seven offices and grown 800% in revenue.

Her presence in the business world is influencing a new wave of young power-women and leaders getting ready to take charge. Nicole’s recent best-selling career advice book From Receptionist to Boss is a how-to book for anyone wanting to take control of their career and reach the next level. Each tip is detailed with personal experience and lessons Nicole learned along her path of success which she wrote to help and inspire others. Target recently picked up Nicole’s book and it is required reading material for the Entrepreneurship course at Sonoma State University.

As a well-known business and career advice expert, Nicole has been featured on platforms such as Forbes, The Washington Post, Entrepreneur, Huffington Post - just to name a few. Nicole was appointed to the Young Entrepreneur Council, honored as a Women in Business leader and is the youngest person to receive the Forty under 40 award by the North Bay Business Journal.
